A placeholder website for my magazine has gone live at http://smorbrodmag.com. There’s not much there as of yet, but eventually it will act as an online archive and point-of-sale. As for now, it’s just a place to post pretty pictures. Also, if you’d like to contribute to the magazine in any sort of way, give me a yell at hello@smorbrodmag.com.
Still waiting for that test-print. As for the rest of the process I’ve created a list of ideas for content, an overall production schedule is set up. Next week is when it’s all going to kick off as Uni goes back. The first five or so weeks will be producing content and nail the visual identity of the magazine. Although a fair bit of that work is done, there’s still issues with general typography and the look and feel that I need to address. Then there is rough layouts and storyboarding before spending the next six weeks polishing layouts and preparing for production.

Monday. I was sitting at my desk, working on an A4 handout for a client in InDesign, and editing high-resolution photos in Photoshop (for the same handout). Everything was going fine, work was sailing along smoothly. The only thing that annoyed the hell out of me was that it was stupid hot. I mean scorching! And then it happened, my MacBook Pro said “F%#k you!”, artifacted and died.

This dude sure knows how to skate a mini-ramp. I’m feeling the skateboarding bug creeping in on me.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was going to make my own magazine for DESN 3411 – Design Professional Studies at Uni. After thinking about it for a looong time, pretty much all the time, I’ve come up with a name. Smørbrød (http://smorbrodmag.com).
