Eivind Borgersen — Personal Blog of Eivind Borgersen

Well. Go f$#k’em.

It’s a definite “should read”, I mean this guy is speaking from the gut and says it like it is. A lot of big F’s :) But his view on modern day newsstand design, especially the covers, and editors/publishers fear of whitespace is intriguing. And I see he mentions a lot of the big magazines, like Esquire, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair, and calls them all out for being “crammers” – more body copy, ads and photography. Not whitespace.

His emphasis on ideas, aesthetics and good design over cramming pages with content is exactly how I’m thinking about my mag as well. Anyways, just have a read. It’s good. I just can’t think of anything intelligent to say about it just yet.
